About Us

AIMS

  • To provide support for the well-being of the RAR Family.
  • To be a trusted and competent voice on all matters affecting the well-being of the RAR Family.
  • To be the representative voice to the Queensland State Government and Federal Government agencies for the RAR Family, including the RAR Battalions’ Associations, located  in Queensland.
  • To manage the Royal Australian Regiment’s National Memorial Walk and  preserve the memory of those who died during service with the Regiment.
  • To perpetuate the close bonds of comradeship and esprit de corps created by past and present members of the Regiment.
  •  To guard and perpetuate the good name and preserve the interests of the Regiment.
  • To co-ordinate Queensland State RARA activities for the RAR Family.

GOVERNANCE

To achieve its aims and to share the work responsibilities the Committee is structured with a Management Committee and appropriate Task Sub-committees. The Committee meets at least four times a year. Queensland based RAR Battalions’ Association delegates (normally the President or Secretary) attend.

Area committees for North Queensland, the Sunshine Coast and the Gold Coast ensures that the Association is represented state-wide.
